Badger girls in closest game yet

April 16, 2013
In the closest game yet this year, the Badgers fell to the Libby Loggers JV team, 9-10 and 13-2.

Headed into the top of the seventh inning the Bonner's Ferry was down 2-8. Batting around the ordering and combining a slew of hits enabled the Badgers to score seven runs, resulting in a 9-8 lead.

Unfortunately, Libby answered in the bottom of the seventh score the two runs they needed for a final score of 9-10.

The second game started with a tough first inning yielding 11 runs to the Loggers.

The badgers scored two runs, but it wasn't enough and Libby took the win in five innings with a score of 13-2.

The next game is a home game vs. Timberlake today, followed by a trip to Newport, Washington, on Thursday and then the only home doubleheader of the season Saturday on Senior Day vs. Kellogg starting at 11 a.m.
