School District announces Employees of the Month
January 9, 2015
DISTRICT CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH FOR DECEMBER
Boundary County School District 101 is proud to announce Barb Lecrenski as the classified employee of the month for December.

Barb has worked for the district for 9 years, and this is her second year as the kitchen manager at Bonners Ferry High School. Barb and her crew have done a great job implementing the Breakfast in the Classroom program. She has adapted the program to fit our needs, and has it running smoothly.

Barb is a real team player, and works hard to make sure lunch is always tasty and ready to go when hundreds of hungry high school students come through. Barb enjoys seeing all of the beautiful faces each day and is always there with a smile to greet students.

Thank you Barb for your commitment to our children, and for always making sure they have a great meal to fuel them each and every day.

DISTRICT CERTIFIED EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH FOR DECEMBER
Mrs. Paula Schulte graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1992. She attended Lewis and Clark State College, earning a Bachelor of Science, K-8 Teaching Certificate, with Suma Cum Laude honors. She has dedicated her skills and knowledge to the children of Boundary County ever since.

Mrs. Schulte’s first teaching job in our school district was in 1997 at the Middle School. She transferred to Evergreen the next year, where she taught a 2nd-3rd grade split level class. In 2010, when Evergreen was closed, she moved to Valley View, where she currently teaches 5th Grade.

Paula is an excellent teacher! She truly loves and respects her students, and they respond in kind. When you walk into her class, you can immediately see and feel that a strong culture for learning has been established. Classroom procedures are clear; the expectations are high. Mrs. Schulte keeps the students engaged and actively involved in the lessons.

Paula does not shy away from new challenges or opportunities to learn. Public education can be very demanding, with new state mandates and a need to incorporate technology. She stays on the cutting edge; she is a lifelong learner! When asked how she does it, her response is “The kids make it easy to come to work!”

Paula has been married to Mike for 13 years. They have two wonderful children, Paisley and Porter. Paula still has a competitive streak, which is shown on the softball field or in any friendly challenge.

Congratulations, Paula Schulte, for being our school district's Certified Employee for the month of December.
