Margaret LaVerne Dieterle Peterson passed away
November 7, 2014 in Sandpoint, Idaho. A Memorial
Service will be held on Monday, November 10 at
11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints in Bonners Ferry. A Graveside
Service will be held on Thursday, November 13 at
11:00 a.m. in the Sugar City Cemetery, Sugar
City, Idaho.
She was born August 29, 1927 in Carey, Idaho to
Joseph and Nora (Rudd) Dieterle. She was the
oldest of three Children. She was raised in
Carey and tells many stories of growing up with
her brother, sister, and other family members on
the farm. She attended and graduated from school
in Carey. She met Delbert Peterson in Idaho
Falls and they were married Feb 5, 1947 in
Dillon Montana. They lived in and around the
Idaho Falls area. They had four children: Gae
(Keith) Denning of Bonners Ferry, Joan Peterson
of Burley, Lester (Violet) Peterson of Burley,
and Kris Peterson Sr. of Lewiston.
Margaret is a member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in the
nursing field for 36 years, at the LDS Hospital
in Idaho Falls, Fremont Hospital in St Anthony,
and Cassia Hospital in Burley. After she retired
from nursing she worked for Health and Welfare
in Burley, Idaho.
In 1999 she moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho to
live. After some changes in her health she had
to move to Ace Elder Care Assisted Living. In
September 2008 she moved to Life Care in
Sandpoint after she broke her foot. She was
living there at the time of her death. She will
be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by: four children, 14
grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, seven
great great grandchildren. Also survived by her
brother Jack Dieterle of West Jordan, Utah, a
sister Lois Harry of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and her
family at Life Care Center at Sandpoint. She was
preceded in death by her husband Delbert
Peterson, parents Joseph and Nora Dieterle, and
four grandsons.
