 Stanley
Morris Battles, 72, of Moyie Springs, passed
away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. He was born
June 12, 1941, to Clifford and Emma Battles in
Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial service will be
held at a later date in Mitchellville, Iowa and
interment will be held at Mitchellville
cemetery.
Stanley lived in several surrounding towns while
growing up. He graduated from Mingo High School
in 1959. Stanley worked for Wright tree service
as well as Aspend Tree Service. In the last
several years he was a produce buyer for several
restaurants and businesses.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents,
Clifford and Emma, and sister Carolyn Frederick.
He is survived by his brother Keith and Mary
Battles of Crossville Tennessee, sister Linda
and Jim Buttrey of Rogers Arkansas, and brother
in law Norman Frederick. He is also survived by
his step sister Linda Kimball of Des Moines,
Iowa, step brother Larry and Evelyn Bowers of
Colorado Springs, Colorado, step brother Fred
and Max Bowers of Bondurant, Iowa , step brother
Dennis and Sue Bowers of Tacoma Washington.
Stanley also leaves behind his daughter Shawna
(Jake) Posselt and grandchildren Cody and
Madison Posselt of St.Maries, Idaho.
Stanley was loved by all of us and will be truly
missed. |
