Greta Elaine Marcy passed away December 4,
2013. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
Tuesday, December 10, at the Free Methodist
Church, 6957 LaBrosse Hill Street, Bonners
Ferry.
She was born Greta Elaine Norton May 10, 1951,
to Pauline Elizabeth Moore in Hillsdale,
Michigan. She resided in Naples, Idaho since
1970. She was married to Leon Marcy in 1973. She
had four children.
Greta was a great inspiration as a crafter and
artist. Her paintings won blue ribbons at the
Boundary County Fair. She was known as the
“Craft Queen” for her remarkable handmade cards.
She touched the lives of many Sandpoint
residents when she worked at the Panhandle
Credit Union.
She shared her love of cooking with her children
and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, fishing,
riding the four-wheeler, dancing to music at the
fire pit, huckleberrying and landscaping.
She was a great friend and loved by all.
Her favorite saying was “While we’re here we are
always walking with people and when we pass we
always follow someone too.”
She is survived by her spouse Leon Marcy, her
children Tonya Cook, Lenny Ramey, Paul Ramey,
and Brian Marcy, her eight grandchildren and her
one great grandchild, her stepfather Kennison
Norton, uncle Paul Moore and Jauretta Moore, two
aunts on her mother’s side, uncle Don Kramer,
uncle Merrill and wife Betty Marcy, uncle Don
Marcy, and many cousins. |
