Allen Wyatt VanAlstyne, Jr., 84, Bonners Ferry,
died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Hospice of
North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene. Services will be
announced at a later date by Bonners Ferry
Funeral Home.
He had been a
veteran of the United States Navy.
Surviving him are his wife of 60 years, Beverly,
of Bonners Ferry, three daughters; Debbie,
Medina and Stacy; and three grandchildren; Dean,
April and Keaton.
Al enjoyed gardening, bingo, building things,
golf and most especially tickling his daughters’
feet when they were little. His greatest joy was
helping to raise his grandson Dean, the son he
never had.
His family suggests
memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s
choice in his memory.
