Shanna
Mae (Jay) McNall, 40, passed away on Tuesday,
September 17, 2013, in Sandpoint. A Celebration
of Shanna’s Life will be held at a later date.
Shanna was born on December 6, 1972, in
Sandpoint to Jerry and Margot Jay. She grew up
in Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry. She enjoyed
playing volleyball, basketball and was a
cheerleader while going to Bonners Ferry high
school, where Shanna graduated in 1991.
Shanna moved back to Sandpoint where she worked
at Dub’s Drive-in. She married Aaron McNall on
April 19, 1997, in Sandpoint. She worked for
various companies; Columbia Paints, Horizon
Credit Union, Lippert Heavy Equipment and later
for Peak Sand and Gravel.
Shanna enjoyed gardening, rodeos, horses,
hunting, four wheeling, playing Bunko and Bingo,
spending time with family and her cats, an
occasional Duck Dynasty or Criminal Minds
program, but most of all she enjoyed spending
time with her daughter Madison.
She also volunteered at Timber Fest, Draft Horse
Show, rodeos, horse shows, and other events
around Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry. She was
beautiful inside and out, strong willed,
compassionate, and spoke her mind with a smile
on her face. She was also known for her sarcasm
and quick witted remarks.
Shanna is survived by husband Aaron McNall and
daughter Madison; her parents Jerry (Phyllis)
Jay, all of Sandpoint; siblings James (Shawna)
Williams of Lewistown, Montana, Kevin Jay of
Sandpoint, Jim Jay of Crosby, North Dakota,
Jennifer Hammel of Northfield, Minnesota, Eric
(Christine) Arnold of Post Falls, and Ron
Jay of Sandpoint; and many aunts, uncles, nieces
and nephews, including her first born nephew,
Jake Williams of Sandpoint; two sister-in-laws
Michelle (Richard) Morasch and Kelly Williams.
She was preceded in death by her mother Margot
Jay 1998, brother Wayne Williams in 2012, niece
Kaitlyn Lee Price Williams and her uncles Alan
McNall and John Meredith. |
