George
Oscar Lang, Jr., 66, passed away on September
28, 2013, at his sister’s home near Bonners
Ferry. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday,
October 4, at the Church of the Nazarene on
Meadow Creek Road. Interment will be at
Grandview Cemetery.
A potluck will be held following the services at
the church.
George was born on June 13, 1947, in Wichita,
Kansas to George Oscar, Sr. and Celia Merl (Medearis)
Lang. At the age of seven, the family moved to
Santa, California. He finished his education and
was a graduate from Bolsa Grande High School in
Garden Grove, California, in 1965.
He joined the U.S. Air force in 1965 and
received an Honorary Discharge in 1969.
He then went to work for Bank of America from
1969 until 1983.
In 1985 he moved to Bonners Ferry, where he
resided until his death.
He was very proud of completing a course in
electronics with a diploma in 2001. George loved
working on projects involving electronics.
He leaves his sister Carol Belden and husband
Glenn; Nephew Larry Belden and wife Kelly and
their five children and great great niece, along
with several friends, family and extended
family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and
niece Linda Belden.
The family suggests memorials be made to the
Church of the Nazarene, 158 Meadow Creek Road,
Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805 or Auburn Crest
Hospice, 1596 W. Seltice Way, Post Falls,
Idaho83854.
