Free seminar for students (and parents) on paying
for a college education
Jnauary 13, 2016
A free seminar for high school students, their parents or guardians, and high school teachers and staff, is set for next week. This event, sponsored by the Idaho State Board of Education and the University of Idaho, is part of the Enroll Idaho program, which aims to encourage Idaho high school students to continue on in their education beyond high school.

The free seminar is a one-night information session, and is a follow up to previous Enroll Idaho events held across the state this past November. This time, university representatives will be presenting information specific to paying for college, including how to fill out the Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and information about grants, scholarships and student loans.

Information will include:

• The value of a college degree
• How to apply for financial aid
• Local and national scholarship opportunities

The presentation will be live-streamed across the state with a live question and answer session after the presentation.

You can be there to follow the live-stream broadcast and participate in the Q and A session--the Boundary County location for the event is at the Boundary County Extension Office, at 6447 Kootenai Street in Bonners Ferry. It is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19, and goes from 6:00 til 7:30 p.m. For more information, contact Amy Robertson at the Extension offic at 208-267-3235.
