Sheriff's Office makes arrest in recent burglaries and thefts
October 14, 2015
The Boundary County Sheriff's Office has been conducting ongoing investigations into several large burglaries which have occurred over the past couple of months. These investigations have resulted in the recovery of some of the stolen property. Arrests have been made in these cases and additional charges are expected in the near future.

On October 2, 35 year old Ronald Meecham, from Bonners Ferry, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm. He was also found in possession of property that had been stolen from Caribou Creek Log Homes. Deputies also found lumber at Meecham's residence that was later identified as having been stolen from the Paradise Valley Church. That lumber had been reported stolen on August 11, 2015, by volunteers who were performing renovation work at the church.

The investigation also indicated that Meecham was connected to a motorcycle that was reported stolen on August 4, 2015. The motorcycle was recovered on October 1 and returned to its owner.
