Coats for Kids drive commences, seeking winter clothing for area children
October 3, 2015
Valley View Elementary is now conducting its annual Coats for Kids drive. Anyone may drop off their gently used, clean coats, with working zippers.  These items will be made available to children who need warm clothing for the winter months.

Hats, gloves, boots and scarves are also needed. Items may be dropped off during Valley View’s office hours, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Valley View Elementary is located at 6750 Augusta Street in Bonners Ferry. Drop boxes will be available at Safeway, Super 1, Harvest Foods, Yoder’s, and The Bread Basket.

Distribution of the donated coats will begin at Valley View, on Tuesday, October 13, during the same school hours as listed above. Any Boundary County child in need of winter clothing is welcome. A parent or other adult must accompany a child to choose winter clothing items. A staff member could assist a Valley View student to select a coat, if the parent/guardian makes arrangements.

Please contact RaNae Barker at Valley View Elementary, 267-5519, for further information.  Valley View Elementary staff thanks Boundary County for its generous support of this effort.
