Idaho Department of Labor seeks applicants for
Industry Grants |

The Idaho Department of Labor is launching a
third round of industry sector grants of up to
$250,000 each to help employers develop training
solutions to fill skill gaps and address
employment shortages.
Financing for the third round, not to exceed $1
million, was approved by the Idaho Workforce
Development Council during its July 13 meeting.
Qualified applicants must consist of at least
three businesses / industry partners with
similar occupational training needs. Before
submitting an application, the industry
consortium will need to partner with the
Department of Labor and identify skill gaps,
develop a targeted list of industry occupations
that address current and projected employment
needs and select a training solution.
Projects will be awarded on a first-come,
first-served basis. Applications will be
reviewed by representatives from the Idaho
Department of Labor, the Idaho Department of
Commerce, the State Board of Education and the
Idaho Workforce Development Council.
All partners must meet current the business
requirements for receiving an Idaho Workforce
Development Training Fund grant, which can be
