Bonners Ferry Police arrest suspect at gunpoint
for alleged Grand Theft
March 18, 2015
Last Thursday, March 12, the call went out to Boundary County Law Enforcement: a man described as a tall, skinny male with a dark goatee had allegedly stolen a check from a person at the Kootenai River Inn. The suspect was reported to have run down Ash Street, losing a shoe along the way.

After a search, the suspect was located in the alleyway of Arizona Street near the Kootenai River Inn. Corey William McNew, age 38, was arrested there at gunpoint by Bonners Ferry Police Corporal Heiko Arshat.

During the course of the arrest, Bonners Ferry Police also found a 2009 ATV quad that had been reported as stolen from Troy, Montana.

The suspect, Mr. McNew, was booked into the Boundary County Jail on charges of Grand Theft.
