City issues letter to residents on status of North Side water tank
July 23, 2014
Because of ongoing problems with entry of mice and other "vermin" into the North Side water tank, the City is issuing a notice that residents who get their water from the affected tank may want to consider boiling their water or using bottled water.

Even though samples tested from the tank have consistently shown adequate levels of chlorination and no coliform bacteria, it is recognized that some organisms, such as viruses, are not readily detectable by laboratory methods. Therefore, to be completely protected from any such organism, boiling the water or using bottled water should be considered.
