Barbecue for 4th of July fundraiser
and Super 1 anniversary
June 6, 2014
Super 1 Foods and the folks who put on the Boundary County/Bonners Ferry July Fourth fireworks event announce a big celebration and barbecue coming up on Friday, June 13. All are invited to this fun barbecue event to help celebrate Super 1 Foods second anniversary, and to help raise funds for the July Fourth Celebration and Fireworks Show. funds for the Fourth of July fireworks celebration is raised entirely from local businesses and individuals. According to Gary Leonard, who heads up the fireworks program, the event is behind where they need to be in fundraising, and they are looking for everyone's help.

"So far, we have raised $3,500 of the $6,000 needed for the show," said Mr. Leonard. "The Fireworks wholesaler told me if they were to put on this show, it would cost over $20,000. We can do this here because of our local volunteer effort and talent."

Tentative guests for the event are the Bonners Ferry Fire Department, Bonners Ferry Police Department, and the Idaho Department of Lands.

In addition to the great food at the barbecue, the event at Super 1 will have a bounce house, a walk on water ride (inflatable balls on water), and various games and events including a watermelon eating contest.

Everyone is invited to come down and help support our local business and the July Fourth show.

Please visit July Fourth Bonners Ferry on Facebook or www.july-fourth.us  to help, or to make a donation, or if you have questions.
