'Art in the Wild' seeking talent

April 7, 2014
Friends of the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge is hosting its third annual "Art in the Wild" art show and sale Friday and Saturday, August 29-30, and organizers recently sent out invitations to artists who've participated in the past, but they are sure there is much more talent out there.

This is a juried show and the booth fees of $25 will go towards the Friends
of KNWR. However, no commission is collected and you are free to sell as much
(or as little) as you choose.

The event will be held on the Refuge grounds, will feature food vendors, live music, and programs given by the well-known author, Jack Nisbet, on the early Northwest explorers, David Thompson and David Douglas. There will be a "People's Choice" Award at the show with a cash prize.

One of the most important elements of this show is that all of the art will revolve around the theme of nature. Art can either be made of natural materials or just feature nature as the subject.

If you are an artist and this sounds like an appealing venue to show your work, click here for the 2014 Art in the Wild artist's application.

For more information, contact Jan Rose by email at  aljanrose@hotmail.com or by phone at (208) 267-7791.

They are truly working hard to have a high quality show that proves to be greatly beneficial to KNWR, the artists and the community, and they hope that you will consider sharing your talent with them!
