Bomb hoaxes prompt schedule change

March 13, 2014
By Principal Tim Gering

Here at Bonners Ferry High School, we put a high value on learning and we believe the best learning occurs when our students are engaged in the classroom.

During the year we have lost some valuable time due to bomb threat evacuations.

In order to regain lost time and to satisfy the state requirements, we will be changing the schedule starting Monday, March 17.

Please note that neither the starting or the ending time will change. The time will be made up using the time that was designated for our morning nutrition break. This break will be removed and added to class time.

We understand the importance of nutrition so we will deliver breakfast to students during morning announcements. Breakfast will no longer be served before school.

This plan is scheduled to continue until May 1 and then it will be re-evaluated.
