Special breakfast set for Kelsey

March 12, 2014
The District Champion Bonners Ferry Badger cheerleaders will be serving up a great Eagles breakfast on Sunday to help teammate Kelsey Shutes as she recovers from a vehicle collision.
The Bonners Ferry Eagles, along with the American Legion and help from the Rotary Club of Bonners Ferry will be hosting a benefit breakfast for Kelsey Shutes from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday, March 16.

As they are hoping for a HUGE turnout, the breakfast will be served in the Fairgrounds dining hall across from Memorial Hall instead of at the Eagles Aerie. We will be having pancakes, scrambled eggs, link sausage, and your choice of orange or apple juice and coffee for a $6 donation, served up by our wonderful Bonners Ferry High School cheerleaders.

All proceeds from the breakfast are going to Kelsey, who has fighting to recover at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene since suffering serious head injuries in a vehicle collision north of Bonners Ferry February8, the day she helped her team win the district cheerleading championships and earn a trip to state March 21 in Nampa.

The team is hoping that Kelsey, who will come home Saturday, will be able to be there, not to compete, but to cheer her Badgers on.

The Eagles and everyone else involved in this very special Eagles breakfast are looking forward to a great turn out, so they're piling the food on and inviting everyone!
