The Bonners Ferry Police Department obtained a search warrant for a South Hill residence in Bonners Ferry following a theft investigation from the Kootenai River Inn.

Officers from the Bonners Ferry Police along with a Sheriff's Deputy and a member of the Drug Task Force served the search warrant on the afternoon of Monday, January 13.

Officers recovered several items believed to have been stolen from the Inn, along with marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a sizable amount of methamphetamine that was packaged in individual bags with scales, in what appeared to be a distribution kit. Also located during the search were other items that had been reported stolen from another state.

Several individuals were in the residence at the time of the search warrant service, and an ambulance had to be called for a 17 year old who was initially found unresponsive by the officers.

The teenager eventually came to while being examined by the EMTs and was released to a parent.

Two adult males were arrested; both listed a Spokane address, one on a fugitive warrant, the other for possession of stolen property.

Additional charges are pending following the completion of the investigation.

The names of those arrested have not been released.
