On behalf of FIRST Team 2130, we are pleased to announce that we are getting an early start to the 2014 season. We are looking forward to a great, and productive year.

This year we have approximately 30 dedicated students and 12 mentors who are happy to be a part of our team.

We would like to invite you to the kickoff for this season, which will be at 9 a.m. January 4, atin Mr. Ed Katz's classroom at Bonners Ferry High School.

Last year's game, Ultimate Ascent, was a competition in which robots had to launch Frisbees toward goals to score points. Last year we attended the Autodesk Oregon Regional in Portland, and the Spokane Regional in Cheney.

In Portland, we ranked sixth out of 59 different teams, and our lead mentor, Ed Katz, won the Woodie Flowers Award for outstanding mentor-ship.

In Cheney, we ranked first out of 32 teams, and we won the Engineering Inspiration Award, which earned us a seat at the Championships in St. Louis. We played in the Curie Division and placed 52nd out of 100.

With all the success we have had over the previous year, we would ask you to consider becoming a part of our financial support team. Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated.

Checks may be made out to FIRST Team 2130 and sent to Bonners Ferry High School, 6485 Tamarack Lane, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805.

Thank you for considering becoming a part of this year's robotics team!

If you have any questions or would like to learn more feel free to contact Ed Katz at Bonners Ferry High school (208) 267-3149.
