Snow, rain could make travel risky

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory through 7 p.m. today warning of the potential for a mix of light snow and rain throughout the region which could make driving hazardous.

Slick roads in the Idaho Panhandle and into northeast Washington, and conditions are expected to worsen as this front pushes through late this afternoon.

Up to two inches of wet snow mixed with freezing rain or drizzle is expected, with southerly winds of five to 15 miles per hour and temperatures ranging from the upper 20s to near freezing are expected.
