Obama Care impacts solid waste disposal

December 11, 2013
Due to increased expenses of the federally mandated Affordable Care Act, also known as Obama Care, Boundary County is forced to reduce the hours of operation at our monitored solid waste disposal/collection sites.

As of January 1, 2014, the Junction, Naples, and Paradise Valley disposal/ collection sites will be reducing hours of operation.

The new hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. This is a reduction from our extended hours of operation in the past. The main Boundary County Landfill hours will remain unchanged.

As always the collection sites and landfill site are all closed for national holidays.

Additionally all monitored disposal sites will be closing Christmas Eve at 4 p.m. for our employees.

For questions regarding solid waste please contact Boundary County Solid Waste at (208) 267-3812 or solidwaste@boundarycountyid.org.
