USFS to hold job fairs state wide

November 25, 2013
The U.S. Forest Service has scheduled job fairs for December 2 at all 25 local Idaho Department of Labor offices.

The fairs will run from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. local time. The location of the 25 local Labor offices is online at http://www.labor.idaho.gov/officedirectory. Bonners Ferry Job Service is located at 6541 Main Street on the South Hill.

Forest Service representatives will be at each office to answer questions and discuss job opportunities. The agency has jobs in fire management and recreation and as engineering, wildlife, range management and fisheries technicians.

These jobs are predominately seasonal and in the summer but can be stepping stones to permanent employment.

The Forest Service is committed to diversity in its workforce and encourages veterans and all Idahoans to participate in one of the job fairs.

Information on how to apply online for jobs with the Forest Service is at http://www.fs.fed.us/fsjobs/USAJOBS_Instructions.pdf.

Interviewing tips from the Department of Labor are online at http://labor.idaho.gov/dnn/idl/JobSeekers/JobSearch.aspx.
