Porthill fire hall going up

Here is a photo of Hall Mountain Fire
Association's new Porthill Fire Hall #1 under
construction. The new fire hall provides much
needed room for the apparatus and space for
indoor training.
Construction began in July and the framing
started Saturday, September 14. It will be
"dried-in" by early October.
Hall Mt. Fire anticipates moving it's two
Porthill engines into the building prior to
winter.
The project is funded entirely by donations from
Hall Mt. Fire Association members, area
businesses and fund raising events hosted by the
Hall Mt. Fire Auxiliary. Land for the facility
is provided through a lease agreement with Mr. &
Mrs. Charles "Punk" Johnson.
Completion of the project will depend on further
donations and fund raisers. |
