Holiday basket programs need help

September 6, 2013
By Fr. Gregory Horton
Treasurer
Boundary County Ministerial Association

Our beloved Deacon Joe Nicholas has announced that he and his wife, Lorraine, are retiring as chairs of the annual Thanksgiving and Christmas Basket program, sponsored by the Boundary County Ministerial Association.

Pastor Carol Stickney has graciously agreed to chair the event(s) for the coming season with the understanding that she will have LOTS of help from folks in the churches and in the community at large.

Deacon Joe and Lorraine may also be available to assist with a smooth transition.

So please let Pastor Carol know if you can help in any way (picking up/delivering food, packing boxes on the designated dates, publicity, cleanup, donating food and money (we are a little low on initial funding going into this year's project), etc.

Pastor Carol can be reached at cmstick@gmail.com or (208) 610-9132. Please let her know how you can help and give her your contact information. Nothing needs to really start happening until the end of October, but it would be good to have a nice volunteer list as well as some donations in hand for the food and supplies.

Thanks to everyone for considering this and special thanks to Deacon Joe and Lorraine for their many years of hard work and sacrifice on this project.
