Boundary Search and Dive Rescue Team hosted a one day tracking class over Labor Day weekend.

The course, taught by certified tracking instructor Matt Isch, provided members of Boundary Search and Dive Rescue Team along with a few from South Boundary Fire District, Paradise Valley Fire and the Sheriffs Posse with skills to aid in following tracks.

The field portion involved a lot of time down on the knees looking for track clues, like bruised or crushed vegetation, stride length, broken twigs.

At the end of the day all of the teams had learned enough of the basic skills that allowed them to locate and follow tracks under conditions that would not seem possible.
