Valley View looking to showcase student talents

May 10, 2013
By Principal Gary Pfleuger

The Valley View Elementary School Student Council will hold a Talent Show at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, in the gym. This is an opportunity for a child to gain confidence by performing a true skill which they have honed through hard work and practice.

Dance, song, tricks and musical talents are the common entries in elementary school talent shows. But, the stage is open to creativity!

An event like this needs parental involvement. The last thing we want is to place a child in an embarrassing position; there should be good laughs with the performances at a talent show but not at the performer!

To assure that this happens, parental permission is required and the students must try out at school.

There is no cost for this event and there will be no winners; it is just an avenue to show-case talents and to have fun!

FYI—No lip syncs will be allowed!

If you would like your child to participate, please sign and return the permission slip sent home with students. Please keep in mind, the Talent Show will NOT occur if there is not enough interest!
