Replies to question on spending priorities

To the Editor:

Regarding the letter written by Mr. Bauer on the spending priorities of parents in our area whose children may be going hungry:

I believe that you are correct in your assumption that many of the parents of the children who benefit from BOCO Backpacks do have spending priorities that could be shuffled to better see to the nutritional need of their children.

However, I don’t believe that the children should have to be hungry because their parents can’t get their priorities straight, especially if there is a group of kind and dedicated people who are willing to see to this very REAL need.
