Beyond Awareness

Every year October rolls around and with October
comes Breast Cancer Awareness month. I am amazed
at how much money is raised for a “cause” that
has turned Boobies into something of a sex
symbol with teenage boys sporting “I Love
Boobies” wrist bands and T-shirts.
Really, isn’t there a better way to promote
something that devastates so many lives?
Has anyone thought about Prevention rather than
Awareness?
Did you know that over 11% of the money raised
for Breast Cancer Awareness goes towards
salaries of CEO’s in the Susan G. Komen
Foundation with most of those people’s salaries
being larger than doctors, attorneys and
politicians? If the Susan G. Komen’s mission is
to find a “cure” for breast cancer, then why
does over half of the money raised go towards
promoting awareness and screening through
mammograms for early detection of breast cancer?
Nothing about being aware of breast cancer and
early screening goes towards finding a cure.
From 1982 to 2010 the Susan G. Komen Foundation
donated roughly $491,000,000 for research grants
and awards. Of this $491,000,000 only 8% was
donated to Etiology (the cause or origin of a
disease).
In order to find a cure it would make sense to
find out what caused the disease in the first
place!
Other areas of grants that were funded by the
Susan G. Komen Foundation were Treatment -22%
(with drugs) – is that a cure? Nope! Early
Detection -15% - Is that a cure? Nope!
Prevention – 10% - is that a cure? Nope!
So, my point being is that very little money
actually goes towards finding a cure. (By the
way there have been doctors and researchers who
found a cure for many types of cancers. Their
research was shoved under the carpet. If you
don’t believe me research Dr. Emmanuel Revici,
Dr. George Watson, Dr. Carey Reams, or Royal
Rife to name a few).
In reality, only about a dime that you donate
towards “PINK” actually goes towards researching
a cure. And, the research that is done uses
allopathic or conventional medicine, which means
drugs or most often chemotherapy, which has been
scientifically proven to cause cancer.
Chemotherapy damages healthy cells, causing them
to secrete a protein that accelerates the growth
of cancer tumors.
If I asked you to donate to the Badger Boosters
and you found out that the volunteers in charge
of the Badger Boosters were getting paid a
triple digit salary and more than half of the
rest of the money went to advertising for the
Badgers rather than to safety equipment or gear
for the athletes or for transportation costs or
other necessities in order to keep Badger
Athletics and extra-curricular activities alive
in this community I bet you would be outraged!
This is where my disgust for Breast Cancer
Awareness and Go PINK comes in.
Most people donate thinking they are helping a
worthy cause when in reality most of the money
they are donating is lining the pockets of a CEO
of a “Non Profit Company” or a pharmaceutical
company.
Did you know that a Thermogram can detect
abnormal tissue growth ten years sooner than a
Mammogram (Yes, 10 years sooner!). Some don’t
even know what a Thermogram is and you wonder
why you have never heard of it.
Simply put, the medical community lost interest
in this procedure in the 1970s, but with the
advancement of technology it is making a
comeback.
A Themogram is a noninvasive screening tool that
does not emit radiation or compress the breast
tissue. It simply uses infrared technology to
look for increased heat in the breast tissue. A
Thermogram is a valuable tool for women to
prevent breast cancer, as it can detect the
first stages of abnormal tissue growth 10 years
before a Mammogram can detect a lump or a mass.
If a woman becomes aware of abnormal breast
tissue growth, she can then take the necessary
steps through lifestyle changes and naturopathic
means to stop the tissue from becoming a mass or
a lump.
So, by now you might be asking yourself what you
can do to make a difference in the fight to stop
breast cancer.
We know it is a devastating disease that affects
women all over the world and most of you
probably know someone who has been diagnosed
with it or who is battling it.
To make a difference, start by preventing the
disease in the first place.
Be pro-active in your health. If you are
overweight, lose some of those extra pounds. If
you lead a sedentary lifestyle, start
exercising. If you have to get a gym membership
then get a gym membership (and use it!)
Find a friend to work out with or hire a
personal trainer or go to Zumba or Yoga. Donate
to yourself instead of lining someone else’s
pocket.
Stop eating processed foods, MSG, or foods
containing food dyes. Stop wearing underwire
bras that constrict the lymph flow to the
breasts. Make sure your body is in alignment.
When the body is out of alignment proper flow to
every part of the body is restricted. Eat
healthy fats like coconut oil and olive oil.
Avoid GMO foods. Eat more fruits and vegetables.
Get a Flow System Audit that can tell what
system in your body is out of balance and then
balance your body and return it to homeostasis
(Call me at 208-255-9956 for a Flow Audit).
The list of prevention techniques could go on
and on. It’s up to you to take charge of your
own health rather than letting a doctor be the
one to deliver a bad diagnosis to you.
In most cases cancer takes years to grow, so
make the right choices today to save heart ache
for yourself and your loved ones in the future.
Remember, IF YOU ARE HEALTHY YOU CAN’T BE SICK!
So, are you going to donate to PINK or to
PREVENTION? |
