September fish stocking schedule set

September 3, 2011
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game recently announced the stocking schedule for rainbow trout in North Idaho lakes and waterways.

On September 19, Sinclair Lake is to get 700 fish, Antelope Lake is scheduled for 1,000, Post Falls Park Pond gets 1,000, as does Smith Lake.

September 26, Freeman Lake will be stocked with 1,000, Hauser Lake with 2,000, Round Lake with 2,000 and Mirror Lake with 2,000.

A few years ago, Uncle Bud Larsen was on hand to give us good and timely coverage of where fish were biting and the issues facing sports-folks; before him, Ralph Anglen was there for the Herald for decades. News Bonners Ferry is looking for the next local outdoorsman able to step into such big shoes.

If anyone would like to try, I need you to know I can't pay ... but I can guarantee a media forum that is yours to develop ... one with global reach and one that gives you a big audience and the benefit of your own work. The goal of News Bonners Ferry is to be the go-to source for local news and local writers.

Send  a bio including who you are, why you love this place and a proposed article to demonstrate the best of your style to publisher@newsbf.com ... News Bonners Ferry appreciates all the attention drawn to other places, and very well understands lauding all that is great about our county has to be seasoned with a bit of subterfuge.

The winner gets a hobby, just like mine, and the same chance at frustration.
