Serenity Winey an Airman E2 |

Serenity Winey, the daughter of Robert and
Sabrina Winey, Bonners Ferry, and a 2017 honor
graduate from Forrest M. Bird Charter School,
Sandpoint, recently graduated from Air Force
basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland,
San Antonio, Texas.
She is the younger sister of Arista Winey,
Meridian, Idaho.
She completed an intensive, eight-week program
that included training in military discipline
and studies, Air Force core values, physical
fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Thanks to college credits earned while in high
school under the dual enrollment program,
Serenity was awarded her stripe as an airman E2.
For graduating Air Force basic training, she
also earn four credits toward an associate in
applied science degree through the Community
College of the Air Force.
Serenity will be stationed in Florida after
further advanced training in Texas and will be
working as an Aircraft Armament Systems
Specialist.
"We couldn’t be more proud of Serenity’s
decision to enlist, and we look forward to her
journey with USAF," her parents said. |
