Eagles hold off Lady Badgers in tournament play |

The Badger girls put up a tenacious fight today,
but fell to Eagle Holiday Classic host West
Valley High School in Spokane, as the 5-4 Eagles
managed to grind out a 63-55 win in tournament
play.
The Lady Badgers eked out a 19-16 lead in the
first quarter, and the two teams tied in the
second at 14 to give the Badgers a three point
halftime lead, 33-30, but the Eagles outscored the Badgers 18-10
in the third to go into the final quarter up 48-43, then
added three more points to their lead with a
15-12 fourth quarter.
Hailey Marlow scored 18 points to lead the
Eagles and Badger Miranda Wenk led the Badger
effort, also with 18 points. Kadi Bateman added
14 points for the Badgers.
The loss puts the Badgers at 7-2 in what's
shaping up to be an exceptional season. |
