Badgers well represented in All-IML

Badger senior Ethan Erickson was recently named one of two Intermountain League Linemen of the Year, and he joins four other Badgers on this year's IML first all-league team offense.

Erickson was honored for his work on the offensive line, and he is joined by Timberlake Clayton Rundgren, Josh Coombes and Sammy Hernandez, both of Priest River, and Kellogg Kaleb Johnson in the season's all Intermountain League First Team.

Badger senior Nick Sabin joins Timberlake's Caleb Munson and Priest River's Tommy Anselmo as the First Team running backs, Badger Isaac Lavala and Ryan Stevens were named wide receivers. Badger Caleb Harrington was given the nod as team kicker/punter.

Brandon Hausladen, Timberlake, who was named IML Most Valuable Player, and Anthony Torro, Priest River, were named First Team quarterbacks and Collin Dietrick, Priest River, was named tight end, rounding out the offense.

On defense, Badger Payton Albrecht joined Zach Craven, Timberlake, Josh Coombes, Priest River, and Kellogg junior Jacob Hammerberg as the defensive line; Badger Matt Varelan joins Will McLemore, Timberlake, Tommy Anselmo, Priest River, and junior Ryan Morgan, Kellogg as linebackers.

At defensive back, Badger Evan Wasmer is joined by Brandon Hausalden and Ryan Stevens, both of Timberlake, and Priest River's Anthony Sorros. Timberlake's Bailey Houston rounds out the defense as returner.

The All-IML Second Team is; offensive line: Zach Craven and Reese Shaffer, both of Timberlake, junior Ronnie Craig, Carson Umphenour and junior Kendall Stone, all of Bonners Ferry, junior Derrick Melton and Dylan Patterson, both of Priest River, and Austin Bartley and Damien Spencer, both of Kellogg.

Running backs are Bailey Houston, Timberlake, junior Caleb Blancher, Priest River and junior Ryan Morgan, Kellogg. Wide receivers are Quintin Kimberling, Kellogg, junior Chris Jennings, Kellogg, Griffen Zagelow, Timberlake, and sophomore Robbie Anselmo, Priest River.

Badger Caleb Stockton, Bonners Ferry, was named quarterback. Jacob Hammerberg, Kellogg, Ethan Keele and Griffen Foote, both of Timberlake, all three juniors, were named second team tight ends..

On the defensive line are junior Chris Sabin, Bonners Ferry, Clayton Rundgren, Timberlake; junior Griffen Foote, Timberlake, Derrick Melton, Sammy Hernandez, and Collin Dietrick, all of Priest River, and junior Weston Stevenson, Kellogg.

Linebackers are junior Anthony Minor and Christian Dowell, both of Bonners Ferry, Caleb Munson, Timberlake, Noah Jamison and junior Caleb Blancher, both of Priest River, and Anthony Noto, Kellogg. Defensive backs on the Second Team are juniors Chris Jennings and Wolfgang Beier and Quintin Kimberling, all of Kellogg, and Griffen Zagelow, Timberlake. Anthony Storro, Priest River, is team returner.

IML Coach of the Year honors went to Shane Douglas, Priest River.

Offensive Player of the Year was quarterback Anthony Storro, Priest River, and Defensive Player of the Year was running back Tommy Anselmo, also of Priest River

Also receiving Lineman of the Year honors with Erickson was Clayton Rundgren, Timberlake.
