Girls soccer team falls to Kellogg

August 28, 2011
Liz Racer (#3) and Jocelyn Palacios (#14) and all the rest of the lady Badgers played tough Saturday against the Kellogg Wildcats, but fell, 2-0.

The Badger girls soccer team hosted the Kellogg Wildcats Saturday, and gave a good account of themselves, though they came away with a tick mark in the loss column after Kellogg's Lilly Weske scored two goals late in the second half.

Those goals came at 48:00 and 65:00 into the game.

"The Badgers played and incredible game," said head coach Erin Delude. "We out played and out-skilled Kellogg, but unfortunately, they got two goals in the second half. I was extremely pleased with how we played, and we will be ready for the next time we meet Kellogg."

That comes in an away game at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 10.

Members of the 2011 Badger girls soccer team are: Hailey Pruitt, Maddie Branson, Natasha Litterell, Liz Racer, Anika Blackmore, Hailey Beazer, Rachel Wilson, Emily Warden, Krystal Flory, Jessica Beazer, Jocelyn Palacios, Lizzy Newhouse, Abby Skeen, Sarah Schumann, Sydney Hubbard, Amanda Riley, Alicia Blair, Kendra Chapman, Alivia Hampton, Aarmie Hoisington, Cheyenne Oyharsabal and Linsey Taggart.

Assistant coach is Molly Rivkin and team manager is Jeanne Racer.

The Badger girls next face Timberlake in another league competition at home at 5 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, and follow that match up in a non-league home match Wednesday against Lakeland, also at 5 p.m.
