Banning joins Army infantry |
December 14, 2017 |
Army Private Dillain Banning, the son of Jesse
and Katie Banning, Bonners Ferry, graduated
today from Army basic training and advanced
infantry training at Fort Benning, Georgia, as
his parents and siblings looked on.
"We are more proud of you than you will ever
know," his mother posted on Facebook. "You have
come so far in such a short time. I can't wait
to see the brother, son and soldier you will
become!"
Banning will remain in Fort Benning for the
three week Army parachutist course, during which
he'll make five jumps from various aircraft to
earn his basic parachutist badge, then he'll
leave for his duty station with the 82nd
Airborne, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where
he'll pack away the black beret for the maroon
beret of the Army airborne. |
