Eby earns credentials as an engineer |
January 4, 2018 |
Kara Cafferty, the daughter of Leonard and Edna
Eby of Boundary County, recently passed the
professional engineer exam to become a licensed
professional engineer.
Kara is a 2004 graduate
of Bonners Ferry high school and attributes her
accomplishment to the teachers, coaches and
mentors in Boundary County.
States regulate the practice of engineering to
protect public health, safety and welfare. To
become a licensed engineer, one must complete a
four year degree in engineering, practice under
a professional engineer for at least four years,
and pass two grueling competency exams.
Kara earned her engineering degrees from the
University of Idaho and she currently works for
the Idaho National Laboratory in southeast
Idaho. |
