Larry and Judy Dirks celebrate golden
anniversary

Larry and Judy Dirks, Bonners Ferry, celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary March 6 with a
reception at United Methodist Church. They were
married February 24, 1961, in Prairie Village,
Kansas.
The celebration was hosted by their children,
Debra Dirks, Coeur d'Alene, Kevin and Sheryl
Dirks, Bonners Ferry, Amy and Lee Nelson, Newman
Lake, Washington, Beth and Dean Giffing, Liberty
Lake, Washington, and Doug and Lisa Dirks,
Bonners Ferry.
Eight of their nine grandchildren were on hand
for the event; Casey, Kyle and Michaela Dirks,
Coeur d'Alene, Bryce Giffing, Liberty Lake, Ivy
Dirks, Bonners Ferry, Derek and Mitchell Nelson,
Newman Lake, and Tucker Dirks, Bonners Ferry.
Tyler Giffing, a student at Arizona State
University, was unable to attend.
The event couldn't be held on their actual
anniversary, as the two were in Cama, Galilee,
Israel, on that day, renewing the vows they'd
taken 50 years before. |
