A private graveside burial at the Grandview
Cemetery will be followed by a celebration of
life at the LDS church.
Leslie was born on April 8, 1956, in Kokomo,
Indiana. She was the daughter of Rex A. Hill and
Edith A. Morgan.
Leslie graduated in 1974 from Bellevue High
School, Nebraska, and attended Stephan F. Austin
State University. In 1978, Leslie married the
love of her life, Eddie D. Leach.
Together they started a family of four children
in Pasadena, Texas. In 1988 they settled in
Bonners Ferry, where they raised their family.
Eddie started his own business, White Mountain
Chain, and Leslie began working part time at the
private schools.
She worked for the private schools here in
Bonners Ferry for 20-plus years.
The light of Leslie’s life was her family. She
spent much of her time with her kids, grandkids
and her husband. She was the glue that held the
family together. She always looked forward to
the next trip or activity with her family. Her
all time favorite activity was spending time
with her family on the Oregon coast. She was
always the first to jump at any opportunity to
go on adventures and try new things.
Leslie could always be found curled up on the
couch with a good book and snacking on anything
mint flavored. She was a lover of music. We will
always remember her tapping her finger or toes
to the beat of the music or busting out her
dance moves with the grandkids. She was
intrigued with horses from a young age, whether
it be drawing them, collecting horse artwork or
even riding them.
When Leslie wasn’t working or with her family,
she spent a lot of time volunteering for various
community activities such as the elections. She
was devoted to being a member of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She spent
countless hours working with and teaching small
children and youth. She loved people and tried
very hard to show unconditional love to everyone
around her despite their faults or differences.
In recent years she found joy and peace
volunteering every Thursday at the Spokane
Temple.
