Teresa Lue Marquette, 60, passed away from
complications due to cancer on October 28, 2017.
A celebration of Teresa's life will be held at
Mugsy's Bar and Grill, 7161 Main Street, Bonners
Ferry, from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 11.
This event is open-house style, and the family
welcomes friends and family to come share
memories of Teresa.
She was born on August 19, 1957, in Ottumwa,
Iowa, to Marvin and Coral Gladyne Camp. She
lived her early childhood years in Iowa before
moving to Coeur d'Alene with her family and
later to Bonners Ferry, where she lived for the
remainder of her life.
She loved North Idaho, with its seasons, natural
beauty, and wildlife. She enjoyed hiking,
exploring, and traveling particularly in the
Pacific Northwest.
More so than anything, Teresa loved her family.
She was never happier than when in the company
of her husband, children and grandsons. She was
a fiercely devoted friend, mother and wife who
loved deeply and unconditionally. She cared
about others and treated every person kindly and
with respect. She was a model of selfless love.
Teresa was loved by all those who knew her.
Teresa enjoyed spooky movies, much to the
chagrin of her husband, walks around the
neighborhood, and she particularly liked walking
the Sand Creek Trail in Sandpoint.
She had the enviable quality of “finding the
happy” in any situation. Quick with a hearty
laugh and smile, or a joke, she would say
“happiness is a choice” and choosing that was
what she always did, even up to her final
moments.
Teresa was a happy and contented soul who
enjoyed the simple pleasures life has to offer.
She was much more willing to offer encouragement
to others rather than seek it for herself.
Teresa is preceded in death by her parents,
Marvin and Coral Camp, and her brother, Lyle
Camp.
She is survived by her husband, John Marquette,
daughter Sara Matthews and husband Tim Matthews,
son Marty Collyer, stepdaughter Michelle Ryals
and stepson Shawn Marquette, grandsons Wyatt,
Garett and Henry Matthews and John and Jason
Ryals, sister Kayretha Edgington and husband
Roger, as well as several nieces, grandnieces
and nephews. |
