Neil D. Farnam, 62, of Robinson, Pennsylvania,
passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at UPMC
Shadyside, Pittsburgh.
Born September 24, 1954, in Bonners Ferry, he
was the son of the late Percy Emerson Farnam and
Janet (Shurtlieff) Dickson.
Neil enjoyed photography, astronomy and scuba
diving, and was gifted in math and physics and
could make or fabricate almost anything. He was
a member of Pipeliners Union Local 798.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Dickson,
Robinson, children Matthew Farnam and wife
Michelle, Irwin, Pennsylvania, and Heather
Farnam Parsons, Seward, Pennsylvania,
grandchildren Sabrina Farnam, Symantha McGrath,
Tiernan McGrath and Colton Farnam;
great-grandson Braylen; sisters Kay Brett,
Robinson, and Patty Yates, Vaiden, Mississippi,
brother Roger Dickson, Hot Springs, Arkansas,
former wife Jane Boring, New Florence,
Pennsylvania, and several nieces, nephews and
extended family.
In addition to his father he was preceded in
death by a sister, Lea Ann Keslar, brother
Ernest E. Dickson, stepfather Ernest T. Dickson,
niece Tara Swope and great-nephew Kye Mitchell.
His funeral service and interment were held July
22 at Germany Lutheran Cemetery. Indiana,
Pennsylvania, with the Reverend Roger Roadman
