Robert Stevo Carrier, 78, passed away on Friday,
May 5, 2017, in Sagle. Funeral services will be
held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the
Holy Myrrhbearer’s Orthodox Church, 1957 Lookout
View Road, Naples, with Father Gregory Horton
presiding. The memorial will be held Friday
evening at 6:30 p.m. at the church.
Robert was born on March 8, 1939, in Chicago,
and his parents are Russell and Eva Carrier. He
graduated high school in Chicago before entering
the United States Marine Corps. He served from
1957 to 1959. After the service he worked as a
machinist.
Robert married Marlene Parday in 1967 in
Chicago. He worked as an engineer for National
Can Corp, and they made their home in
Merrillville, Indiana. He retired in 1994 and
moved to Idaho in 2015 after Marlene died.
He is a member of the Holy Myrrhbearer’s
Orthodox Church and the Fred E. Barber,
Detachment 1110, Sandpoint Marine Corp League.
He enjoyed history, fishing and golf.
Robert is survived by his two sons Mark (Martha)
Carrier of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Christopher
(Trisha) Carrier of Noblesville, Indiana;
daughter Melissa (Lee) Mandic of Chesapeake,
brothers Richard (Carolyn) Carrier of Sandpoint
and Russell (Claudia) Carrier of Sagle; sister
Barbara Carrier of Tacoma, Washington;
grandchildren Nicholas, Riley, Joshua, Olivia,
Frank, Lacey, Robert, Angela, Christian, and
Chase; and great grandchildren Bradley, Gatlin,
Sawyer, Raiden, Brieue, Caleb, and Shianne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife
Marlene and son Glen. |
