Laura "Rosey" Ann Sheff, 52, passed away on
April 16, 2017, in Bonners Ferry with her loving
sister, Sherry Cromwell-Dunham, and family at
her side. Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday, May 12, at the United Methodist Church,
6568 Lincoln Street, Bonners Ferry.
Rosey was born in Concord, California, on July
5, 1964, to James and Linda Cromwell.
She grew up and spent most of her adult life in
Concord and Martinez, California. She moved to
Naples in 2013 to be with her family after she
had to have a pacemaker put in and needed some
TLC, which she got from everyone.
When Rosey was 11 she started marching in a
color guard and was able to travel up and down
the western states to compete during the summer.
She marched for seven years. Her personality and
rosy cheeks are what gave her the nickname of
Rosey.
She always had a smile on her face and loved
everyone.
Rosey’s favorite past time was being with
family. Lots of card games and good times
outside. She also loved bingo. She also
volunteered with “Helping Hands of Naples”,
Naples Food Cupboard and volunteered at the
Boundary County Fair.
Rosey was married to Duane Sheff in 1993, but
they were later divorced.
She was a mail carrier in Clayton, California,
for 12 years until she had to go on disability
because of her enlarged heart. She was a fighter
and spent many years fighting to survive. Her
last year was the hardest.
Rosey is survived by her sons Shawn Cromwell and
Derek (Veronica) Sheff, beloved granddaughter
Delaine, stepson Leroy Sheff, parents Jim and
Linda Cromwell, sister Sherry Cromwell (Greg)
Dunham, brother Tim Cromwell and many nieces and
nephews who all miss her loving hugs and
wonderful smile.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the
charity of your choice or plant a rose in your
yard to remember Rosey by. |
