Moody, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on March
22, 1940, to Wilbert and Bessie Moody. He passed
away on December 5, 2016.
Steve attended high school in Boston,
Massachusetts and in his senior year won a first
place medal at the high school swimming
competition. Shortly after high school he
entered military service. Later he worked as a
hot walker, training and exercising thoroughbred
race horses with his grandfather at Saratoga
Springs, Aqueduct and Belmont race tracks in New
York and Pimlico racetrack in Florida. He later
moved to Billings, Montana, in 1977 and settled
in Bonners Ferry for more than 35 years.
Steve was saved by Jesus as an adult. He was
totally changed and began a life of peace. He
shared his testimony to help others come to
Christ and the power of God’s love. He led many
souls to Christ and boldly spoke of his love and
gratitude to God with friends, family and
especially strangers.
He enjoyed fishing and clam digging along the
beaches of New England. He liked playing cards
and making others laugh at life. He was known in
his family for his loyalty, quiet demeanor and
dry witty humor. He was generous and kind.
Stephen is survived by friends in Bonners Ferry,
sister Stella Moody, a host of nephews, nieces,
grandnephews and grandnieces throughout the U.S.
and France. |
