Glenn Albert King, 91, passed away on October
25, 2012, at the Boundary County Nursing home in
Bonners Ferry. Funeral services were held
Sunday, October 28, in the Bonners Ferry Funeral
Home Chapel in Bonners Ferry. Interment was in
the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Glenn was born on June 18, 1921, in Jamesport,
Missouri, to Albert Maywood and Sarah Estelle
(Hess) King. He moved with his family to Texas,
where he graduated high school. After graduation
he moved to California, where he went to work as
a sheet metal worker.
On September 2, 1942, he married Betty Lee Hobbs
in Bellflower, California. Glenn entered the US
Army and served from September 5, 1942, until
his discharge, April of 1945.
Glen returned home and worked for the Green
Brothers as a sheet metal worker. He continued
working as a sheet metal worked until his
retirement.
Glenn and Betty moved to Bonners Ferry in 1987,
where he has resided until his death.
Throughout his life Glenn was an avid fisherman
and enjoyed time working in his garden and being
at home in North Idaho.
He is survived by his wife Betty King, Bonners
Ferry, and daughter Joanne Hellawell, Coeur
d’Alene.
