Beverley
Louise Bruhn, 81, passed away at Martha & Mary
Nursing Home, Poulsbo, Washington, on October
10, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 1
p.m. Tuesday, October 16, at Grandview Cemetery
in Bonners Ferry.
Beverley was born on February 10, 1931, in
Omaha, Nebraska, to Ruby and Thorton Church. She
received her education in San Diego, California,
and that is where she met her husband of 53
years, Richard Bruhn.
They were married on March 3, 1950, in Yuma,
Arizona.
You could often find her working alongside
Richard up on the hill in their saw mill. They
worked hard and played hard, later in the week
they would be fishing at Lake Koocanusa, camping
or just being at home playing games with
friends. She was an avid collector of dolls and
ducks. Her home cooked meals were loved by all.
She worked outside of the home only a few times.
She was a wonderful stay at home mother to her
four children, Kathy (Tary) Richardson of Havre,
Montana, Rick (Laurel) Bruhn of Hermiston,
Oregon, Brad (Joy) Bruhn of Winnemucca, Nevada,
Cindy (Virgil) Rondeau of Port Townsend,
Washington.
Beverley’s survivors also include Brother
Charles Oswalt (Carol) of Ramona, California,
and Sister-in-law Holly Krumwied of San Diego,
California, her eight grandchildren and 13 great
grandchildren.
Beverley had so many special nieces and nephews
that she also considered her grandchildren; in
fact she was Mom or Grandma to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
husband Richard Bruhn, and brothers Jerry Oswalt
and Donald Church. |
