Thomas
Duane Vinion, 64, passed away September 18,
2018, in Coeur d’Alene after an extended
illness. Memorial Services will be held at 11
a.m. Saturday, September 22, at the Church of
the Nazarene on Meadow Creek Road near Bonners
Ferry.
Tom was born in Bonners Ferry October 21, 1947,
to Francis and Lucille Vinion. He was a graduate
of Bonners Ferry High School and then attended
North Idaho Junior College in Coeur d’Alene for
two years.
On January 31, 1970, he married the love of his
life, Gayle Frazier. They made their home in
Boundary County and raised two daughters. Tom’s
passion for trucks and large equipment guided
him towards his life’s occupation of hauling
logs, grain and just about everything else that
can be hauled with a truck. He also spent
several years farming on Parker Creek in the
Kootenai Valley.
Tom adored his family. He loved Boundary County
and the outdoor lifestyle it provides - fishing,
hunting, camping, exploring the back mountain
roads and enjoying a picnic on a Sunday
afternoon with his family and friends. Though he
liked to travel and see the country, no matter
where he went, Bonners Ferry was always his
home.
He was an easy going guy with an easy going
manner who never knew a stranger. Once he met
someone, he never forgot a face or where or how
he had met them. He loved people with a heart as
big as he was.
Tom is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gayle,
Hayden, Idaho; his daughter Angie Jones, her
husband Brian and their three children, Chris,
17, Tyler, 15, and Aleah, 9, all of Bonners
Ferry; his daughter Lori Davis, her husband
Brett and their two children, Tom Carter, 16,
and Braydon, 3, all of Sultan, Washington.
Donations in his name can be made to the
American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Ste.
300, Rockville, MD 20852.
Family and friends are invited to sign Tom’s
book at

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of
Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. |
