Anna
Martha Esser Wromar, 86, stalwart parent and
loving grandmother, passed away peacefully in
her sleep on July 24, 2012, in Bonners Ferry
Community Hospital.
Anna was born on June 12, 1926, in the City of
Dortmund, Germany. She married the love of her
life, Horst Franz Joseph Wromar on December 16,
1950. Together they raised four wonderful
daughters; Gudrun, Sabine, Bettina and Sigrid.
The family moved from Germany to Canada in 1955
and from Canada to the United States in December
1960. The Wromar family thrived in Huntington
Beach, California, in the 1960s and 70s.
Anna and Horst moved to Boundary County in 1980.
After her husband's untimely death in 1984, Anna
moved to a retirement community in Coeur d'
Alene, Idaho. Her twilight years were filled
with peace and serenity as she followed her
passion of analyzing stocks and managing
investments. She was also an avid gardener with
a knack for floral arrangements and her famous,
fresh parsley. She also greatly enjoyed the
outdoors.
She was a doting grandmother and loved by her
friends and neighbors. Her daughters and their
children remained the shining pride of her life
until her passing. She was a sincere and caring
person and will be sorely missed.
Anna is proudly survived by her daughters,
Sigrid Caperton, Bettina Astone- Wromar and
Sabine Wromar; her sons-in-law, Michael Astone,
Dirk Caperton; and her four grandsons, Derek and
Dylan Caperton, Michael Wromar and Zane Astone.
This obituary was written by Dylan Caperton, who
is in the above photo with Anna.
Family and friends are invited to sign Anna’s
book at

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of
