Juanita
Ann Matlock, 60, passed away on April 23, 2012,
at Kootenai Medical Center's Circle of Life in
Coeur d 'Alene, Idaho. Mass of Christian Burial
was held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bonners
Ferry on Saturday, May 12.
Juanita was born August 6, 1951, in Bellingham,
Washington. She moved with her parents to
Spokane and attended school at St. Joseph's.
After high school, she went to work, where she
met the love of her life, Rick. They worked
together from then on and shared a loving
married life of 37 wonderful years.
Not being blessed with children, she became a
mother of nature, and devoted her life to her
husband and all living creatures. She raised her
horses, goats, rabbits, birds, cats and happy
dogs. She loved her flowers and working in the
gardens.
Juanita was an NRA member; she loved to camp,
fish and hunt. She enjoyed shooting in
competitions and was a great cook.
Juanita and Rick settled in Bonners Ferry in
1999, living in the Good Grief area for the past
13 years. She was a beautiful and very strong
woman, battling her illness and heart trouble
the past two years.
She never complained and always thought of
others above herself. She will be deeply missed
by her family and friends alike.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Rick
Matlock; brother, Ted Carter and sister, Connie
Johnson, both of Spokane.
No more pain, no more suffering, I love you; see
you on the other side, wrapped in the Lord's
loving arms.
Family and friends are invited to sign Juanita’s
book at

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of
Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. |
