Kinley
Todd Nelson was born August 14, 1962, in Hemet,
California, to Larry and Barb Nelson. He passed
away on Friday, August 5, 2011, at Kootenai
Medical Center of injuries sustained in a
motorcycle accident August 1.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday, August 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Kinley started elementary school in Napoleon,
North Dakota and finished Junior High in
Rolette, North Dakota. He completed his
schooling and graduated from Bonners Ferry High
School in 1980, the week of the eruption of Mt.
St. Helens.
His employment history includes working as a
cook at A&W and then Ellen's Drive Inn, he was a
clerk at the Radio Shack of Taft's, he worked at
a video store in Spokane, and was a night
auditor for the Kootenai River Inn. He also
worked at Kootenai Valley Times, was in the
business office of Boundary Community Hospital,
worked as a bookkeeper for Conoco gas station,
and most recently worked for the State of Idaho
in the local liquor stores.
Kinley was also known to help many people (and
elderly ladies were his favorite) with their
electronic devices, sound systems, grass mowing
and any other needs they had. He was also
involved in several ministries of his church.
Those left behind are his parents, Larry and
Barb Nelson of Bonners Ferry, his sister, Kamin
(Nelson) Sandford, her husband, Dan, and their
children, Madeline, Micah, Gabriel and Boaz, of
Spokane Valley, Washington, and brother Torr
Nelson and Torr's daughter, Cassie, Hayden,
Idaho.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that
memorials be given to Trinity Lutheran Church
Memorial Fund.
