Larry
L. Rodenz, age 64, passed away on Sunday, May
29, 2011, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center
in Neenah, Wisconsin. He was born on March 17,
1947, in Rochester, Minnesota, the son of LeRoy
and Lorraine (Berndt) Rodenz. He married Linda
Hyland on November 26, 1966, in Rochester.
Larry is survived by his wife; Linda Rodenz of
Waupaca, daughter, Jennifer (Rick) Meyer,
Bonners Ferry, and son Bret (Miriam Leean)
Rodenz of Waupaca, five grandsons; Vincent,
Blake, Mitchell, Christopher, and Matthew, a
brother, Darrell (Sandy) Rodenz of Eden Prairie,
Minnesota, and five sisters; Donna Lokken of
Rochester, Joyce (Ken) Ingalls of Rochester,
Barb Sauter of Rochester, Sharon (Rueben) Felt
of Kenyon, Minnesota, and Debbie Cedergran from
the Twin Cities, Minnesota. He is further
survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives,
and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a
sister, Brenda.
Larry had been employed as a service
representative for a gas utility company in
Minnesota for 44 years, retiring at age 62. He
had many interests, which included hunting,
fishing, hunting for wild ginseng and wood
working. He had been active in the Mabel
community, serving as a volunteer fireman, as a
member of the Mabel Lion's Club and the Mabel
Business Association. He also loved the family
boating outings on the Mississippi River.
While living in the Waupaca area, Larry and
Linda enjoyed riding his golf cart along the
trails near their home, and touring Waupaca on
their scooters. He also spent many wonderful
hours cruising the Chain O' Lakes with family.
He was a loving husband of 44 years and a
wonderful father, and will be deeply missed by
his family.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held on
Sunday, July 17, 2011, in Mabel, Minnesota. The
Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the
family with local arrangements. |
